“Children and new cultures” is the intercultural practice which promoted the professional role of mother tongue animator, in order to increase the value of foreign children’s languages and cultures in the schools. They have been promoters the Migration Laboratory (project leader) of the Genoa Municipality and the Alunni Stranieri Resource Centre (CRAS), two structures which both deal with the promotion of actions finalised to the intercultural education and training. Both are part of the Schools and New Cultures Centre, the first experimenting innovative ways in intercultural pedagogy around thematic areas, the second as a structure which works for the scholastic success of foreign workers, through a partnership protocol whit territorial institutions and bodies.
"Bambini e nuove culture" è la pratica interculturale che ha promosso la figura professionale dell'animatore di lingua madre per la valorizzazione delle lingue e delle culture dei bambini stranieri nelle scuole. Ne sono stati promotori il Laboratorio Migrazioni (capofila) per il Comune di Genova e il Centro Risorse Alunni Stranieri (CRAS), due strutture che si occupano entrambe di promozione di interventi per l'educazione e la formazione interculturale, che compongono insieme il Centro scuole e nuove culture, il primo sperimentando modalità innovative nella pedagogia interculturale intorno ad aree tematiche; il secondo come struttura che opera in vista della riuscita scolastica degli alunni stranieri, mediante un protocollo d'intesa con istituzioni ed enti del territorio.
